Here is my favorite Christmas project this year.
It started with a frame we found in someone’s curbside trash.
(Reminder: We are not dumpster divers. We are opportunists.)
It was originally gold, then the hubs sprayed it red for another project, and now here it is in the process of transforming to a metallic silver.
I used some ribbon, 25-cents ornaments from last year’s Christmas clearance, and clear thumbtacks to make this.
If you look at the top of the frame you can see the clear thumbtacks holding the ribbon in place.
You can also see some red bleeding through because I ran out of spray paint!
The photos really don’t convey all the shine and glitter of these ornaments.
When the light hits it, they’re beautiful, especially at night.
Here’s how the whole room looks.
